DR. MARIO IRAHETA

Dr. Mario Iraheta is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University where he completed a post-graduate fellowship in periodontics. He is originally from El Salvador and after graduating from the Universidad Evangelica de El Salvador he attended New York University’s International Post-Graduate Residency in Periodontics. Dr. Iraheta is a dedicated periodontist with a grasp of the most innovative, minimally invasive new procedures. Dr. Mario Iraheta is licensed by the Florida Board of Dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, and the South Florida Dental Association.

DR. EDGAR LOPEZ

Dr. Edgar Karim Lopez attended the University of Florida School of Dental Medicine, where he received his doctorate degree in 2001. Soon after graduating, he completed a one year residency in Advanced General Dentistry at Nova Southeastern University. Today, Dr. Edgar K. Lopez provides patients with high quality comprehensive care, including general and cosmetic dentistry, fixed and removable prosthetics, endodontics, oral surgery, and facial rejuvenating treatments. Dr. Edgar Lopez is fluent in English, Spanish and French.

Dr. Rafael Urbino is a South Florida native. Dr. Urbino then went on to earn his Dental Medicine Doctor (DMD) degree from the University of Florida in 2004. He then completed a Post-Doctoral Residency at the VA Medical Center in Gainesville, FL, where he received advanced training in special needs and hospital dentistry. He also completed training in Moderate Sedation Anesthesia (“I.V. Sedation”) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Urbino is a member of the medical staff at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, where he performs dental and oral surgery for persons with special needs under anesthesia. He is also involved in the oral-dental care for patients with Head & Neck Cancers.

How long Does a Dental Implant Procedure take?

Assuming that you don’t require a bone augmentation or sinus graft prior to fitting an implant, the next step is to secure the titanium rod down into the jawbone. Surgery can take between 1-2.5 hours per implant and when finished most implant dentists will fit a temporary crown.
